Editing Content
Whether you are adding new content or editing existing content, you will encounter the Edit Content page.
Getting There
There are a few ways to get to the edit content page. For new pages, follow the directions under Adding Content.
For existing pages, you may select pages for editing through the Site Manager. To edit a specific item, click its link or associated edit button
.
Overview
The edit content page has several sections to note.

Whether editing existing content or creating new content, you will first encounter details about the item you are editing.
- Type: This specifies the type of item you are editing.
- Status: This is the current status of the item you are editing. Published means the page is published onto your live site. Draft means the page is saved, not published, and therefore not accessible by users on the front end.
Just below the item details is a set of useful links:
- View Active Content: Opens the currently published version of the content in a new browser window.
- View Content Version Opens the current version of the content that is being edited. The difference from View Active Content is that this version has not yet been published.
- Version History: Opens the Version History page. Here you can see previous versions of the page being edited. Visit the Version History page for more information.
- Permissions: Opens the options for user permissions for the content that is being edited.
Next are the edit content tabs. Each tab gives you several options for customizing your page.

The Meta Data tab lets you assign keywords used to index a page by external search engines like Google.
- Content Objects Tab
The Content Objects tab helps you manage content objects that are displayed on the page.
- Categorization Tab
The categorization tab lets you categorize your content into relevant groups and categories.
- Related Content Tab
The Related Content tab lets you manage a list of content related to the current content item.
- Advanced Tab
The Advanced tab includes items that are needed less often than items you might find on the Basic tab or items that may be needed by a developer.
