Upgrading Mura to v7.1

Due to the significant enhancements and changes in the directory structure of Mura v7.1, the "auto-update" feature in prior versions of Mura will not automatically upgrade your Mura instances to v7.1. There are, however, a couple of different ways to upgrade legacy versions of Mura. Each method has its pros and cons, and in the end, it will be up to you to determine which path you wish to take.

 

Upgrade to a Fresh Install

The basic steps for upgrading to Mura v7.1 to a "fresh" or "clean" installation directory. Choosing this upgrade path may be a better choice for those who have very few modifications in their legacy installations, and those who have confined their customizations to their "site" or "theme" directories.
