Mura Express for Windows

Follow the steps below to either Startup Mura Express, or Shutdown Mura Express.

Startup Mura Express

  1. Open the mura-express folder
  2. Double-click the startup Windows Batch File
  3. If you see the Open File - Security Warning dialog window, click Run
  4. A terminal window should open indicating that Tomcat has started. You should eventually see a "WEB CONTEXT" ..." section, and feedback along the lines of "Deployment of web application ... has finished". This may take awhile on some machines.
  5. If you see a Windows Security Alert dialog window. Click Allow access to continue
  6. You can now shrink your terminal window to the task bar, but do not close it! If you close the terminal window, or shutdown your computer, it will force Mura Express to terminate, and you will need to perform each of these steps again.
  7. Open your Internet browser (e.g., IE, Chrome, Firefox), and type http://localhost:8888 in the address bar
  8. You should now see an empty Home page in your browser window
