Local Content Indexes

Local Content Indexes are one of the most powerful features of Mura CMS. Local content indexes enable you to create custom lists of site content and include them on pages as content, navigational items, related content, or as a content object. For example, you could create a local content index of all press releases related to a certain topic, order it by date or title, and place it on any page without needing any programming or database expertise. You can even use the [mura] tag to further extend the power of Local Indexes.

Local Indexes can also be used to set up and publish RSS feeds, both for external consumption or internal use on customized pages that use Mura's "draggable" feeds functionality.

Tip: Make sure "Content Collections" is turned on in Site Settings, under the "Modiles" tab.

Managing Local Content Indexes

To manage local content indexes, click on the Content Collections link in the left panel menu. The Content Collections page will load to the right. Local content indexes and remote content feeds are displayed in tables on the page.
