The Basic Tab

The Basic tab is the first tab you will encounter when adding a new Remote Feed. The necessary fields are described below.

Basic Tab of Creating a Remote Feed

  • Name: Enter a name for the feed into the field. The name of the feed is important as it determines how this specific index will be labeled within Mura. Therefore, you should choose a name that’s descriptive and easy to understand.
  • URL: Enter the URL of your feed.
  • Max Items: The maximum number of items you would like to display on our remote content feed.
  • Version: Select the RSS version of the remote feed.
  • Is this Feed Active? If you select Yes, the feed will be added to the list of active feeds in Mura. If you select No, the feed will still appear in the Content Collections manager, but will not be available in other areas of the CMS, and will not be able to be placed on a page or included in content collections.
  • Is this a Public Feed? If you select Yes, your feed will be available to the public.
  • Make this a default feed in the customizable feed component? If you choose Yes, this remote content will be one of the default feeds presented in Mura for users setting up personalized pages. You would only use this if you set up pages that users can customize and personalize with feeds that can be dragged.
