The Content Objects Tab
The Content Objects tab helps you manage content objects that are displayed on the page. Content objects can be inherited from their parent content items.
Managing Content Objects
When you click on the Content Objects tab, you will see these fields:

- Inheritance Rules: You can control the inheritance of content objects by selecting one of these three choices. This can also be edited directly in the Site Manager.
- Inherit Cascade: This choice inherits the content objects of the parent item.
- Start New Cascade: Starting a new cascade causes any child items of the current page to inherit its content objects.
- Do Not Inherit Cascade: Choose this if you do not want to inherit content objects from the parent content item.
- Content Objects: Under "Available Content Objects" there is a drop-down menu containing the content objects available to you. Select a category and the available content objects will be displayed below. You can then select an object for placement in a display region.
Placing Content Objects in a Display Region
Once you've selected a content object, you must add it to a display region before it will be visible on the page. Depending on how your site is setup, the right side of the content objects tab will have different field on the right side of this tab. Our example has Left Column, Main Content, and Right Column.
To place a content object within a display region, click the double right arrow
next to your preferred region.
Note: If the object you are placing has configurable options, you will be presented with a dialog to configure it. View the video below to see a demonstration.
The object will be added to a list below the name of your chosen region. If you have multiple content objects in the same region, you can change their order with the Up and Down buttons to the right of each list.
